Julie Griffith
Julie began her volleyball career as a Logan-Rogersville Wildcat. In high school, she earned All-Conference and All-District honors and was an All-State selection her senior year. After high school, she attended Evangel University to play volleyball and pursue a degree in Music Education. During her time as a Crusader, she earned top honors including two-time All-American and All-Region selection and team MVP in 2007 and 2008. In 2008, she became the first Crusader to earn All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
After college, she enjoyed keeping up with the game by playing many years of women's and co-ed leagues. From 2011-2017 she served as Assistant Coach of the Aurora Hown’ Dawgs, alongside then head Coach Susan Patterson. In 2019 she was inducted into the Evangel Hall of Fame and in 2022 she was a Wynn Award recipient through the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. Currently, Julie resides in Republic, MO with her husband, James, and two kids, Hattie, 4, and Eli, 2. She has been a vocal music educator in Aurora, MO for the last 14 years. |
