My name is Kim Quinit, and I am currently a libero/defensive specialist at Drury University where I'm majoring in exercise physiology and minoring in psychology and community health. I grew up in Conway, Arkansas where I played varsity volleyball for the Conway High School Wampus Cats. During my high school career, I was fortunate to be part of an incredibly successful Conway volleyball program. I earned Arkansas All-State honors, was selected to All-Arkansas Preps Team, and represented Conway in the AR High School Coaches Association All-Star Game. One of the most meaningful experiences during my high school career was helping lead our team to the 2023 state championship.
I have been playing volleyball for 13 years, and the sport has played such a huge role in shaping who I am both on and off the court. Volleyball has taught me discipline, resilience, leadership, communication, and the importance of building strong relationships with teammates and those around me. I love competing at the college level while also giving back to younger athletes through coaching, camps, clinics, and life in general. Since I've played this sport for so long, I really enjoy helping younger athletes gain confidence in their skills and develop a deeper love for the game, something many of my mentors instilled in me growing up. One of my favorite parts about coaching is creating and encouraging an environment where players feel supported while still being challenged to grow. I understand how important confidence and mindset are in volleyball, especially for younger athletes, and I strive to help players improve not only technically, but mentally as well. |
