A native Ozark, Missouri farm girl. I have been married to my husband Jeff for 24 years and have two children, Alyson and Mitchell, both in college.
I graduated in 1989 from Ozark High School where I participated in multiple sports and clubs and where volleyball continues to shine. My parents would always sigh when I announced I had signed up for yet, another activity. That involvement has continued with my own kids and family. I continued my volleyball career at Columbia College from 1989-1993 and as a graduate assistant from 1993-94. Moving back to the Ozarks in 1994 coaching club for 14’s/15’s and refereeing college volleyball to stay connected with the game. After a brief hiatus to shuttle my kids to all their activities for several years, I am back in the coaching arena. I enjoy helping out with MYSL volleyball and am looking forward to a fun learning volleyball season. Food for thought…. You are either a fountain or a drain…and the funny thing is you are not born that way. It’s a choice you make every day. Fountains are full of purpose, confidence, encouragement and make us feel better about ourselves. Drains deplete other’s resources and spur negativity. Strive to be a fountain, its amazing what you can learn from others. |
